LGBTQ+ at Turnberry

If you or a family member identifies as LGBTQ+, you may wonder about the benefits and resources available to you at Turnberry.

Benefits

Equitable care and access

Turnberry partners with Blue Cross Blue Shield to ensure healthcare access that supports transgender and non-binary employees and their family members. Employees also have access to Blue Cross Blue Shield’s gender services consultant.

Parental leave policy

All employees are entitled to the same parental leave benefits, regardless of how they are growing their families.

Family planning assistance subsidy

This subsidy is available to support employees on their family planning journeys that may include adoption, surrogacy, foster care, and additional physician-based medical services, such as IVF.

Employee assistance program (EAP)

All Turnberry employees, their spouses or domestic partners, dependent children, parents, and parents-in-law can access this free, confidential counseling resource. The Turnberry EAP supports a variety of services including stress management, work-life resources, marital conflict, workplace issues, health and disease counseling (HIV and other major illnesses), and mental health resources. It is available to you even if you’re not enrolled in Turnberry’s medical benefits.

Employee resource group

Shine, Turnberry’s LGBTQ+ employee resource group, is dedicated to connecting, supporting, and informing the Turnberry community to strengthen LGBTQ+ employment, allyship, advocacy, and unity. All are welcome to join Shine.

DE&I Resource Library

Turnberry’s DE&I resource library is a dynamic online repository of training and educational resources on a variety of diversity, equity, and inclusion topics. This virtual library contains books, podcasts, online training sessions, and other resources. It also houses recordings of Turnberry’s quarterly DE&I trainings.

Our organization is a member of Mossier, a non-profit that partners with companies like Turnberry to develop employment equity for everyone LGBTQ+ through community, training and education, and job opportunities. Employees have access to Mossier’s online community, education modules, events, and other resources.

Corporate Equality Index

Turnberry is named to the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index, the national benchmarking tool on corporate policies, practices, and benefits pertinent to LGBTQ+ employees. It rates companies on non-discrimination policies, equitable benefits, inclusive culture, and corporate social responsibility.
