The next generation of Marketing Cloud has arrived

At Connections, Salesforce unveiled Marketing Cloud Next, an agentic marketing platform built natively on Data Cloud. Years of marketing technology and data evolution and acquisitions are coming together in one platform. Marketing Cloud Next unifies Engagement, Account Engagement, Personalization, and Intelligence into one streamlined interface.

Marketers can focus on creativity and strategy while using Agentforce to create campaigns faster, optimize performance, and create one-to-one experiences at scale. The days of “do-not-reply” messages are over; AI agents can now facilitate two-way conversations on every channel and act on the outcomes. AI agents take campaign creation and execution down from weeks to days by creating the campaign brief, segmenting the audience, generating the content, and building the flow.

Marketing Cloud Next enables teams to orchestrate engagement at every step of the funnel by leveraging data seamlessly across Sales, Service, and Commerce. AI agents engage, nurture, and qualify leads 24/7 across channels. With real-time ad monitoring, AI agents can pause underperforming ads and recommend enhancements to improve results – all of this while the AI agents are governed by Salesforce’s Einstein Trust Layer.

As a Salesforce Marketing Cloud customer, what does this mean for me? Salesforce’s approach is “keep what works + add what’s Next.” This means you can continue running existing journeys while gradually adopting features of Marketing Cloud Next as you feel comfortable. I’m looking forward to seeing this come to life for our clients and transform the ways of marketing and engagement as we know it.

Marketing Cloud Next is available to current customers in July 2025. Read the full press release from Salesforce.
