Terms and Conditions of Enrollment and Participation in the Turnberry Learning Center Artificial Intelligence (AI) Course

Effective Date: June 16, 2025

  1. Acceptance of Terms
    By enrolling in this course, the participant (“Participant”) acknowledges and agrees to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions, including any applicable course policies. Participation in the course after the effective date constitutes continuing acceptance.
  2. Eligibility Criteria
    Enrollment is limited to individuals who:
    • Meet all academic and/or professional prerequisites as specified by the course provider at the time of registration;
    • Possess the requisite hardware, internet access, and licensed software necessary to participate in course; and
    • Consent to comply with these Terms and any additional policies communicated throughout the course.
  3. Course Content and Delivery
    The course includes lectures, readings, assignments and practical exercises related to Artificial Intelligence. Content is provided solely for educational purposes. The course provider reserves the right to update, modify, or remove course content at any time without prior notice.
  4. Intellectual Property Rights
    All Intellectual Property in the course materials, including but not limited to lecture notes, presentations, videos, assessments, and recordings, is owned by the course provider or its licensors. Participants are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use these materials for personal educational purposes only. Any reproduction, distribution, or commercial use is strictly prohibited without prior written consent.
  5. Use of Artificial Intelligence Tools
    Participants may be required to use AI-based tools and platforms during the course. By doing so, participants agree to:
    • Use AI responsibly and in accordance with academic integrity standards;
    • Avoid any form of academic dishonesty, including plagiarism or misrepresentation of AI-assisted work
    • Comply with all applicable terms of service for any third-party platforms used
    • Acknowledge that the course provider bears no responsibility for data shared with or collected by third-party platforms.
  6. Data Privacy and Confidentiality
    The course provider may collect and process personal data for administrative, instructional, and operational purposes. All personal information shall be handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws (e.g., FERPA, HIPAA, GLBA, GDPR) and the course provider’s privacy policy. Participants consent to such processing by enrolling in the course. Confidential or sensitive personal data should not be disclosed unless expressly requested by the course provider.
  7. Code of Conduct
    Participants are expected to demonstrate respectful and professional behavior throughout the course, including toward instructors, staff, and fellow participants. Violations may result in disciplinary action including warnings, removal from specific course elements, or full termination from the course with or without refund, at the provider’s sole discretion. Unacceptable conduct includes but is not limited to:
    • Harassment or discriminatory behavior;
    • Disruption of the learning environment;
    • Academic dishonesty or misuse of AI tools.
  8. Assessment and Certification
    Participants may receive a certificate upon meeting all course requirements, including participation, timely submission of work, and successful completion of assessments. Certificates are issued at the discretion of the course provider and do not constitute an academic degree or accreditation unless otherwise specified.
  9. Amendments to Terms
    These Terms may be modified at the course provider’s discretion. Material changes will be communicated to Participants via email or learning platform notification. Continued participation following such changes constitutes acceptance.
  10. Dispute Resolution
    In the event of any dispute arising from these Terms:
    • Informal Resolution: The parties shall first seek to resolve disputes amicably via good-faith negotiation.
    • Mediation: If unresolved, the dispute shall be submitted to confidential mediation in the jurisdiction of the course provider.
    • Governing Law: These Terms are governed by and construed according to the laws of the State of Minnesota. All legal actions shall be brought exclusively in courts located in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
    • The course provider reserves the right to seek injunctive relief for breaches of intellectual property or confidentiality obligations without delay.
